Our Founding Fathers argued that We the People are the leaders of our nation. We the People have a rulebook that we expect federal government officials to follow: the Constitution of the United States of America.

That rulebook is a wonderful work! Indeed, if our nation’s elected officials would consistently abide by our rules, there would be no debate on current issues like the proper limited size and scope of the federal government, the critical responsibility of national defense that Congress must bear or whether abortion is “okay” or not.

Our Constitution is elegant, basic, and timeless. It worked very well for our nation at the start, and it still applies, is still in force, and truly makes sense even today. It is our job, as the citizen leaders of our land, to enforce our rulebook by choosing servants from among us who truly “will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic.” All our elected members in Congress make that promise. It is our job to review their work and measure it against their promise. If they don’t measure up, it is our job to select someone to replace them. I offer myself to you as your servant, your voice, your representative for the Indiana-4 US House seat.   I promise to “support and defend the Constitution.” And I mean that!
